At higher elevations, the air is thinner, so you generally need smaller jets for carbureted engines. This is because less oxygen is available, and using the same or larger jets would make the fuel mixture too rich, causing poor performance. Weber 32/36 and 38 carburetors will generally be jetted for 0 - 2500ft if you're above that check out our high elevation kits which will work for up 6000ft. For anything above that it will require specific tuning, if you need help with that check out our write up here.
